Oregon Fly Fishing Outfitters offers full and half day, all-inclusive fly fishing trips.  Jet boat, drift boat, and walk-in trips are all available to book and generally take place within driving distance from the Portland area.

Trout

Fishing for trout is usually done on the Mckenzie and Willamette rivers with some time dedicated to the rivers in southern and central Oregon.  The waters we fish are generally inhabited by native trout and catch and release practices are required.

A full day trout trip is an 8 hour day and includes lunch, beverages, and snacks.  We jet and drift on these days- though conditions can sometimes call for a walk-in trip.  Nymph, dry fly, and the occasional swing all come in to play as we fish through various hatches in the season.  All flies, lines, rods, and reels are provided but you are welcome to bring any gear you have!

The Green Caddis hatch on the Mckenzie and Willamette is our favorite hatch and a great resource only a short drive from Portland!  Fly fishing for trout is for anglers of all skill levels, doing so from a boat offers a unique perspective and opportunity to hone your skills.

Summer Steelhead

For those who like to get up early...our summer run trips require an early start, up with the sunrise.  We offer float and jet trips for summer steelhead on various rivers in the Willamette Valley.  Both full and half days are available to book, full day trips include lunch, beverages, and snacks.

Summer steelhead can be caught in a number of ways.  Swinging flies, nymphing, and even dry flies can catch fish!  in the summer the rivers are generally lower, warmer, and more clear.  Using heavy sink tips and big flies aren't usually the answer.  This makes summer run steelhead a great fish to target for traditional anglers!

Winter Steelhead

We offer full day float and walk-in trips for Winter Steelhead December through March.  Our trips take place primarily on the rivers in Oregon's north coast.  These trips give you your best shot at a 20 pound fish on the fly, and that is what keeps us coming back!

Winter steelhead are caught nymphing and swinging flies from the boat or while wading depending on the conditions.   A hot lunch will be made on  jet and float trips with beverages and snacks also provided.

Walk-in trips sight fishing for big fish is our passion.  These trips aren't for the faint of heart and require athletic ability.  This day trip is usually 9+ hours and includes a lot of hiking.  Cold pack lunches and beverages are provided.
